Spring Pitching Clinic

Saturdays, April 6 – May 11th

Updated Tuesday February 26, 2019 by Upper Arlington Bear Cub Softball.

We have invited Lauren Sanders to UA for a Spring Pitching Clinic.  Lauren played NCAA Division II softball at Slippery Rock University, after being a three year starter on a nationally ranked high school team.  She was selected as state of Ohio All-star in 1999 and 2000 and still holds the record at her high school for most homeruns in a game.  Beyond that, Lauren has 16 years of coaching everything from high school to 10u and everything in between.  She comes highly recommended by families and is looking forward to working with UA Bearcub Softball.

Lauren teaches from release point backwards to full motion.

The goal is to get clinic attendees up to full motion, by Opening Day.

Saturdays, April 6 – May 11th

Location TBD

Cost is $120/player

10-11am: Bears (3rd and 4th)

11-12pm: Golden Bears (5th and 6th)

Please note: time may fluctuate slightly based on facility availability.

A parent MUST attend the session with the player.  This allows the parent to work closely with their player on mechanics, understand the fundamentals, and develop strong practice skills outside of the clinic.  Beyond the clinic - players are welcome to continue their training with Lauren via private lessons, should they so choose.

We realize that previous pitching clinics have been free of charge.  Words could never express our gratitude and appreciation Mr. Petro and Mr. Clark shared for all things softball, and specifically in the areas of pitching and catching.  They could never be replaced and won’t be strangers.  At the same time, this is the chance to give the UA Bearcub Softball a strong shot of adrenaline in the area of pitching for the 2019 season.

We do not want cost to be a hindrance or financial burden to families - financial assistance is available to those who qualify (contact sarahmlathrop@gmail.com for the appropriate form).

Registration will open on March 1st at 9am is limited to 10 players for each session.

Questions - please email uasoftballbearcubs@gmail.com.  Thanks so much!
